I am The Rev.Dr.Angelina SunMoon Anderson MsD,(33o 90o 96o Xo I.H.S.V.) The Cherokee, and English,born and raised inS.Carlina , New Jersey. I walk the Medicine Way. I live in two worlds-Native and white. When I walk in the Native world, I'm white. And when I walk in the white world, I'm Native. There came a time in my life when I didn't know whwer to walk, so I walk my vision. It brought me to Wicca and the Craft and to (owl Medicine)
The democracy of the United States which was stolen from The Iroquois said all men were created equal, except blacks, woman and especially, Native Americans.The motto of this government was "The only good Indian is a dead Indian". By the time of the first birthday of this country, the European migrants had annihilated almost all the tribes on the eastern seaboard,with disease,slavery,starvation,and outright genocide. This was all done to obtain Native American land. Some tribes were forced to move west.(The list of presidents that celebrate this are infamous in native American history.*George Washington--the village burrner *Thomas Jefferson ---who wanted all Indians moved west of the Mississippi *Andrew Jackson--who wanted all the land for his land schemes *Harrison--who wanted all Indians exterminated
The year was 1637,700 men,women and children of the Pequot Tribe, gathered for their "Annual Green Corn Dance" in the area that is now known as Groton,Conn.
While they were gathered in this place of meeting, they were surrounded and attacked by mercernaries of the English and Dutch. The Indians were ordered from the building and as they came forth, they were shot down. The rest were burned alive in the building.
The next day, the Governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared: "A day of Thanksgiving, thanking God that they had eliminated over 700 men, woman, and children.
(For the next 100 years, every "Thanksgiving Day" ordained by a Governor or President was to honor that victory, thanking God that the battle has been won.)
